Information for Sunday, October 6th Konocti Kup Schedule

U10 boys (9 teams registered) 
Saturday: All 9 teams will play 2 games.  The team that finishes the day in 9th place will be out of the tournament.   
Sunday:  8 teams will play a third game.   Based on final standings from Saturday, games will play: #1 v #8, #2 v #7, #3 v #6, #4 v #5.  Game times and teams for this Sunday games will not be available until the final games have been played on Saturday. Followed by third place and final games based on final standings.

Saturday: All 5 teams will play 2 games.  The team that finishes the day in 5th place will be out of the tournament.

Followed by third place and final games based on final standings.

U14 girls (4 teams registered) 
Saturday: All 4 teams will play 2 games Saturday. 
Sunday:  all 4 teams will play a third game.  The team that finishes in the standings after 3 games in 3rd place will be awarded the 3rd place in the tournament. Teams finishing 1st and 2nd in final standings will play a championship game
 
Championship: Sunday @ 2pm Rotary field 1

U16 Boys (3 teams registered) 
Sunday: All 3 teams will play 2 games.   After the two games the standings will determine 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

2024 KONOCTI KUP 

DATES AND RULES  

Saturday October 5, 2024: U10-U14

Sunday October 6, 2024: U10-U16

SCORING: Win: 3 points Tie: 1 point Shutout: 1 additional point 0-0 Tie: 2 points each


TIE-Breaker: 1) Goal differential 2) Penalty kicks 

Points: 1 point will be deducted from a team for each red card (ejection), 2 points will be deducted from a team coach’s/manager’s red car (ejection). Lastly, 1 point will be deducted for over scoring at over 8 Goal Differentials (Example: 9-0 or 10-1, team loses 1 point & 10-0 or 11-1, team loses 2 points). 

1. No headers or slide tackling for U10, & U12 age groups. U14 & U16 age group is allowed to head the ball.  

2. All other league’s rules apply such as shin guards to be worn and completely be covered during games. Referees will go over each rule before each game is played.  

3. Game cards should only contain coaches or sponsors’ names as it appears on the KK schedule. 

4. 2 Games guaranteed for U10, U12, U14 and U16 plus championship games. Otherwise, 2 games are guaranteed plus championship games if fewer teams sign up in any participating age group. Games have to start on time. Each team will pick up their own trash after each game. 

5. Check in at the registration table 30-60 minutes prior to games’ times. Failure to check in will result in an automatic disqualification (without refund of fees) from the tournament. 

6. Game cards need to be turned in right after a game is over. 

7. Only players on recreational leagues original rosters can be allowed to play ESPECIALLY important for age groups U12, U14 and U16. 3 Guest players are allowed and need to be approved before the day of tournament. If a team plays with a player not on the original roster  or not allowed prior to the tournament, the entire team will be disqualified. Exception: Leagues  with Co-ed teams combining to form boys/girls team must submit roster 1 week before  tournament for approval 

8. Teams must have these documents at each game: Official Team Roster, Valid Player Passes for 2024/2025, Medical release form for each player with original signature of a parent or guardian and Guest/Loan forms for each guest player. Referees will check all before each match. 

9. Team listed first is home and will also be responsible for the game ball and the team listed second is away (visitor).

10. All players will receive a Konocti Kup team award and 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in these age groups will receive an appropriate place trophy. 

11. Please remember, referees have the last word before, during and after every match. There is no reason to argue with them. Yellow or red cards will be issued to coaches even if it is a parent who is making trouble. So please talk to your parents beforehand. 

12. Substitutions can be done at the half line and only when referees allow it. Make sure your player is there a few minutes before. Always allow a player to exit the field before another one can go on the field. Referees must be notified before any goalie change. 

13. Coaches, you are responsible to ensure that your parents are seated in the area marked spectators/parents/visitors. Only coaches and players are allowed in the area marked coaches/players. No one will be allowed behind the goals. Again as a coach you will be given a  yellow or red card for your parents’ behaviors. 

14. All games are played with 2 halves. Teams change sides at half time and teams playing each other should be in different colors and make sure goalies have totally different colors. The  tournament will follow the special Rules for Small-Sided games for appropriate divisions. 

15. In case of fewer players and if both teams agree to play fewer players, they must agree to play with an equal number of players. Except in case of a red card, the team with the red plays one down. 

16. Registered coaches only on the player side of the field. In the event that a Co-Ed Team is combined one  coach from each team is allowed on the tournament roster. All Coaches must wear designated league attire.  

17. Cancellation is allowed before September 27, 2024 and a team canceling will be forfeiting $100 and will be refunded $200. Any cancellations after that or no shows, no refund will be allowed. In case of no shows, if another team cannot be scheduled to play the team present then 3 points will be awarded to the team present. 

18. U10: 7V7, two (2) 25 minute halves, 10 minutes halftime, Offside apply. Least number of players on the field is 5. 


19. U12: 9v9, two (2) 25 minute halves, 10 minutes halftime, offside apply. Least number of players on the field is 7. 

20. U14: 11v11. Two (2) 30 minute halves, 10 minutes halftime, offside apply. Least number of players on the field is 7. 

21. U16: 11v11, two (2) 30 minute halves, 10 minutes halftime, offside apply. Least number of players on the field is 7.

22. All age groups will receive a two minute water break in the middle of each half. (Game clock will stop for water breaks)
